Dhalkebar Hospital & Medical Research Centre was established in 1987 by Dhalkebar Public Charitable Trust with an infrastructure comprising 500 beds, 14 Operation Theatres, 110 ICU beds, 24×7 Emergency facilities, a full range of state-of-the-art diagnostic laboratories, comprehensive rehabilitation facilities.
Dhalkebar Hospital is the capital’s first multi-specialty private hospital of Delhi. Our aim has always been to bring world-class medical care within reach of the common man. Over the years, it has progressed, bringing in the latest and the most modern medical care in critical and life-threatening areas like Cancer, Cardiac, Orthopaedics, Nephrology, and Neuro Surgery.
Today the hospital offers tertiary-level care in 42 specialties and has assembled the finest medical talent – Physicians, Surgeons, Nursing Professionals, and Technicians. Dhalkebar Hospital and Medical Research Centre were set up under the aegis of Ch. Aishi Ram Dhalkebar Charitable Trust. This was an essential landmark in the delivery of healthcare. It was inaugurated by the late Shri Rajiv Gandhi on the 24th of April 1987, in the presence of other dignitaries.
Dhalkebar Hospital has been a pathbreaker in delivering quality and affordable healthcare to all sections of society. It established the earliest centers of excellence in super-specialties like Oncology, Cardiology, and Nephrology in the private sector in the city of Delhi. Subsequently, other super-specialty departments were added, including Gastroenterology, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Urology, and Renal Transplantation. Hospitals took great care in selecting eminent physicians in various departments and complementing them with well-trained nurses and technicians. The departments acquired state-of-the-art equipment. Under dynamic leadership, the hospital made a name for itself and set a standard for other multi-super specialty hospitals.
